    Description

    Vintage 1940's burgundy velvet bucket purse made by Block, with a Peck and Peck Fifth Avenue label inside. Some monitors make this handbag appear brown, but it is deep burgundy red with a melon-gold satin lining.
    The purse measures 7 1/2" x 8" x 3 3/4". It has a 14" strap handle and four brass feet on the oval bottom. There is a zippered side pocket with the brand name Block over the zipper and a small melon or gold colored satin change purse. about 3" x 4 1/2". There are 2 bobby pins in the change purse.
    The purse is very clean and shows only minor signs of use and wear. There are a few pressure dents in the velvet, due to storage (Please see the last photo). These may become less apparent over time.
