57L (60L) Food Barrel air, water & bear proof barrel 15 gallon canoeing camping

The 57L barrel (60L) fits perfectly in a 60 liter harness. they come with grey metal locking rings. Are you Tired of hoisting that food up in a tree? This large barrel is airtight, water resistant and bears can't smell the food, so just place it in the woods at least 75' from camp. We have been canoeing in the BWCA since 1974 and have tried many products and have used these barrels the last 6 years and love them. They come in the following approximate sizes: 30L (8 gallon), 35L (9 gallon), 40L (10 gallon), 47L (14 gallons), 57L (15 gallon), & 62L (16 gallon).
This barrel is approximately 15" in diameter and 24" tall. This diameter fits all of the 60L harnesses. NOTE: Some 60L barrels do not fit some of the 60L harnesses. This size is the most popular and the one I use myself, as it can handle enough food for a group of 6 for 5 - 7 days. The 30-35L barrel works good for 2-3 people for 5 days.     These barrels are hard plastic, refurbished, clean, blue inside & weighs approximately 6.25 pounds. They could have minor scrapes on the sides. I test them before shipping to make sure lid fits good and locking ring is tight, they are excellent and ready to use for many years!
Food should be placed in containers inside the barrel, despite it clean, it was originally used by the medical field hauling Metformin (Diabetes Drug) packets.
Barrels have multiple uses, such as pet food, feed, mixing, dry good storage, winemaking, plus many more uses.
