LED approach and engine lighting for locomotives H0 and TT
Technical specifications:
- for digital and analog railways
- Alternating voltage 4 .... 24V AC
- DC voltage 4 .... 24V DC
- Current consumption 5mA
- board size approx. LxW 11x8mm and height with components 3.5mm
- Pay attention to the correct polarity when connecting the LEDs to the circuit board (see photo with connection diagram)
The KSQ2 module consists of a circuit for rectification and voltage regulation which enables the user to operate it in direct or alternating current and ensures constant luminosity in the event of fluctuations in the driving voltage.
All connection pads are pre-tinned, which enables easy processing. You will find useful connection information on the back of the circuit board.
Installation instructions
All locomotives with boiler circulation or other free spaces under the locomotive housing where the LEDs can be attached are suitable.
In many cases it will be necessary to dismantle the housing.
After dismantling, determine the locations for the LEDs and the cable routing.
Find a suitable location to house the KSQ2.
Now clean the places (free of dust and grease) to which the LEDs are to be glued. A droplet of secondary adhesive gel is suitable for this.
Now run the cables from the LEDs to the KSQ2 and solder them as shown on the connection diagram.
Now only 2 cables (not included) solder to the power supply of the locomotive or connect to the decoder and solder to the input of the KSQ2. The polarity does not matter.
If you need more than 4 LEDs to illuminate the engine, you have to buy and install two or more sets, since only max. 4 LEDs can be connected to the KSQ2.
Instructions in paper form are not included.
Scope of delivery (kit - soldering required):
1x fully assembled lighting module KSQ2
4x SMD LEDs 0805 (LxW: 2.0x1.25mm) with soldered enamelled copper wire approx. 15cm long / diameter only approx. 0.15mm
On the photos you can see some examples (H0 locomotives) for the engine lighting and where you can "hide" the KSQ2 module.
The locomotives are not part of the offer !!!
