11-22-20: Back by popular demand!!! We are back to making the brown tinder pouches many have been asking for. Took a while to find another source of leather for these but the wait is over. Photos are of the newest design. This new leather is cow hide and is much stiffer then our previous tinder pouches. Each is new so it will have to be opened and closed and worked a bit but will soften up over time. This should make it a great pouch for the long term. Below is the original listing:Here is a hand made leather tinder pouch for your consideration. This auction is for a large pouch which spreads out to around fifteen inches opened flat. A very nice size for it's intended purpose. With the original intent being to carry your dry tinder while camping, bushcrafting, or other outdoor adventures, I personally use them for many other tasks. I use one for a whittling kit that contains a couple various knives, a small leather strop and stone, and a few other materials for wood carving on the go. I also have one for a fire kit, containing a fire steel, striker, tinder, and other necessities.
These little bags can be opened and draped over the end of an upright piece of firewood or log giving you a work table, can be placed on your head for a very ugly cap, and are great for organizing your small stuff in your backpack, haversack, or possibles bag. There is a leather closer that holds it shut and a deer antler pull for getting a grip to close it. These bags can go inside your main pack for organization or can hang by the leather thong on the outside of your pack making it accessible when needed. Very handy item for bushcraft and other outdoor activities.
We usually have a few of these in stock but, should they sell out, we can always make more to order if the need arises. Keep an eye out for our other items. We also make a really nice fixin' wax to keep it conditioned. Thanks for looking at my page.
