SONDRA ROBERTS VINTAGE BLACK SNAKESKIN/RHINESTONE HOBO EVENING BAG, 1980'S

Description

This unique and beautiful "Hobo" evening bag is sleek black snakeskin cinched by a collar of glittering rhinestones,   designer bag by Sondra Roberts from the early period of the Roberts company, the late 1980's.
Fashioned into a pouf  pouch, the snakeskin is manipulated like a fine fabric, with round base, pleated skirt cinched by a glittering crystal collar at the waist, topped by a funnel neck that zips with a tassel, and finished with a shoulder strap looped around the sides of the rhinestone ring.
Bag base is 10 1/2 inches in diameter; pleated section is 4 inches deep; the funnel neck is 4 inches tall by 6 3/4 inches wide, making interior easily accessible.   The solid jeweled ring is wound by 88 circlettes of rhinestones, each containing at least 12 brilliants, for over 1500 stones. Each rhinestone is prong set, bright, in excellent condition, and about 1/3 carat in precious stone sizing.   The  collar is 5 1/2 inches in diameter.   The shoulder strap measures 46 1/2 inches.
Excellent condition; old stock has never been used. Think  Holiday glam.....
