Description

This is a steel first aid kit. It measures 9 & 3/4 inches tall (NOT counting the top handle) and is 6 & 1/2 inches wide. It is 2 & 1/2 inches deep. The exterior top pictures a lone star, and reads: "TEXAS...STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS and PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION...FIRST AID KIT." Inside, are 16 different small boxes of supplies. Some of the supplies include bandages, gauze, gauze compress, poison ivy / oak cream, ammonia inhalants, tincture, insect bite relief and more. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS SOLD AS A VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE - NOT FOR ACTUAL USE. Most boxes have been opened. Even though some items are sealed, I don't know if the contents are still clean & sterile. Overall, I would say the kit is in GOOD condition. The exterior has some stains and paint rubs, but not too bad. I couldn't find a date on any of the supplies, but I would "GUESS" they are from around the 1990's - give or take. I suspect the metal box may be older than the supplies.
